K.C. Carter likes to do safe in her life by always following the rules until an instance got the best of her and she has to return home for the summer to complete her community service for that said mistake.
Jaxon Trent is a boy that she needs to stay away from but temptation is living next door to her while she is staying at her friend’s house during that time. Since they have met Jaxon has never forgotten K.C. and is the one girl that would not give into his charisma. This is the story of two people crossing paths again and connection that begins to grow between them.
“That is what I wanted her to understand and what I’d been through. About what she’d been through. The more you suffered, the more you survived. It shaped people in different ways, and what broke one person could empower another.”
This 4 stars story dealt with emotional situations of their troubling past that are keeping them from being who they want to be. A story that will open their eyes discovery of oneself and the way they want to truly live. Although there are a few cliché scenes and the ending felt a bit rushed the overall moral of the story is what got me hooked. 😉
