The 27 Club by Kim Karr
My rating: ★★★★ 4 of 5 stars

Since Zoey Flower’s passing of her brother, Zach her world had turned upside down. Wanting to know more about him before he died she heads back to the place he had created a life in. There she meets her brother’s best friend that she has been contact with: Nate Hanson, a man that has her feeling things she never has before.

27 Club Teaser 2”You want me to do thing with you’ve never done. I want to do those things with you more than you know. But, I’ve gone from woman to woman, engaged in consensual arrangements with no ties for as long as I can remember. I can’t be like that with you.”

After learning Zoey’s thoughts on her life Nate asks her 5 things she wants to accomplish. After one steamy night and continued attempts to explore for more of their shared connection her list has one main thing that she wants and it is to experience this sexual awakening with Nate. Hesitant to give in due to the promise he made with her brother as well as a man who also does not do love he goes along with her request in hopes that she realizes that she can overcome this destiny that she has instilled in her mind.

27 Club teaser 5Something about the two of us together – not oil and water no, more like gasoline and a match – with one strike, we’re on fire.

When I first came across this book I did not know what to expect except that it entail a club and little did I know it was not a club that I originally assumed. Zoey and Nate story will bring you into their world on their believes and the different lifestyles that they grew comfortable in. They are intense around each another but when they give into their connection it turns into an amazing experience filled with so much igniting fire. Burning in desire but cold to turn into something more. A 4 stars book on my list. 😉 #kimkarr #the27club
