Forgiving Reed (Southern Boys #1) by C.A. Harms
My rating: ★★★★ 4 of 5 stars

I had never read any of C.A. Harms books before and to say I was enthusiastically impressed is an understatement.

I throughly loved the dynamic between Kori and Reed. Kori had been dealt a harsh hand every early on that my heart literally broke for her. The immense feelings of guilt she had felt, due to circumstances beyond her control had sucked her into a whirlwind of despair.

Forgiving Reed is a bittersweet love story that will take you on an emotional roller coaster. It is a captivating tale of tragedy, loss, love, and ultimately redemption.

I would highly recommend this book and I am very curious to see where the next installment in the series will take us.

Forgiving Reed (Southern Boys #1) by C.A. Harms
My rating: ★★★✩ 3.5 of 5 stars

This story got me hooked at the prologue! A story about losing someone and forgiving someone was a battle of emotions that was playing with my heart not knowing how and when to feel again.

The early part of the story dealt with Kori Foster losing her love, Blake Harrison, the father of her baby boy Rhett in a tragic event that left her hating and loving that eventful day. Since her loss the need to move on was hard for Kori but she needed to do what was best for their son.

Although the loss part hit my heart with overwhelming feelings the other part; involving forgiveness, not as much. Reed Jackson’s story entailed a mistake while he was young. With any relationship fictional or real temptations come into play and his indiscretion was not a shock value for me. When he sees Kori again in their hometown he would do anything to prove himself worthy and to be the one for her. Feelings resurfaces from both parties; however, overcoming the past is what tends to be holding them back.

Overall I give this story a 3.5 stars rating. I enjoyed reading the parts of grieving a loss and learning to forgive and move on because you will never know what to expect in life.

Finding Gavin (Southern Boys #2) by C.A. Harms
My rating: ★★★★★ 5 of 5 stars

We met Maria and Gavin in C.A. Harms “Forgiving Reed.” Maria is Kori’s best friend. She is thrilled for Kori’s new found happiness; although, she cannot help but feel somewhat jealous. Abandoned by her father and her brothers Maria has a fractured view on men in general. Enter Gavin…

Gavin is the the handsome cowboy exhibiting those “thrusting thighs” that we learned about in Forgiving Reed. He is extremely private and hides a lot of secrets. This only adds to the dramatic storyline that enfolds.

Speaking from the heart, this book had me on the edge of my seat. I was eager to see what happened next. Without giving too much away I will say that Finding Gavin rigged at my heart strings to the extent I was tempted to read the last page to see how it ended!! This is a story of forgiveness, heartbreak, solidarity, and true love. It is a story of loss and how when you need them the most, in the darkest days, family will not let you down.

Finding Gavin (Southern Boys #2) by C.A. Harms
My rating: ★★★★✩ 4.5 of 5 stars

This was such a heartwarming read of second chances not just in romance rather in life itself. To be able to move on from the ugliness that has occurred in the past is not an easy feat. A possibility to be happy again no matter what has happened.

Maria is a feisty woman who was interested in the one guy that had told her that he does not do more than what he can give. Falling for someone who made no promises was something she had not expected and because of the life she had lived growing up she felt that loving her was never going to happen with anyone let alone the one man that has gotten under her skin.

Gavin Tennison is a heartbroken cowboy who vowed to not give into his feelings again after being badly burned by his ex. The idea of a happily ever after was something he had lost faith in. Meeting Maria was someone that was supposed to be just another woman in his life with nothing more than good times.

“You’re the reason I ended up here. Maybe not the reason I moved, but the reason I stayed.”

I was excited and looking forward to reading Gavin’s story after getting a glimpse of him in Forgiving Reed (Southern Boys #1). He was a mysterious man that had me curious of wanting to learn about his story. The author did not disappoint and gave me so much more than I had expected when it came to letting go and moving on. No doubt a 4.5 stars read that will make you believe that things can happen at anytime when you least expect it.

Loving Colt (Southern Boys #3) by C.A. Harms
My rating: ★★★★ 4 of 5 stars

We met Colt in C.A. Harms, “Finding Gavin (Southern Boys #2).” He is Maria’s brother and exhibits all the charms of your typical southern cowboy. He had me swooning from the start!

Alexis is a single mother to a beautiful little angelic girl named Madison. Immediately we fall in love with this precious child and want the HEA for moth Alexis and Maddy. We learn all about the journey they are both taking and the circumstances they have had to endure along the way. Two strangers collide to help heal each others wounds heal and learn that it really is okay to let go and be happy. Its not going to be easy and there is certainly a lot of bumps in the road but Colt and Alexis passion is undeniable.

Loving Colt is the third installment in this series and I really hope she continues with making me fall in love with all these amazing characters!!

C.A. Harms knows how to take you on an exciting journey and how to suck you in with her sweet lovable and wholesome characters, especially all those hot cowboys!! I am looking forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Loving Colt (Southern Boys #3) by C.A. Harms
My rating: ★★★★ 4 of 5 stars

This 4 stars story had a lot of heart. Alexis is a single mom to an adorable daughter, Maddie whose father had past away during active duty. After finally take the leap to be in a relationship again the man she chooses ended up being someone she did not expect and needed to leave their home and get away.

Colt Thompson is the sweetest cowboy that had caught the eye of Alexis one night while she was passing through town and had surprised her by covering her bill at the diner. Since that day they end up crossing paths more times than expected.

“I won’t lie and say that I don’t want this to lead somewhere. I do. I have from the moment I saw you walk into the diner, holding Maddison’s hand.”

Alexis and Colt’s story of falling in love when you least expected gave me the warm and fuzzies all over. So many moments that had me swooning over the cowboy who is trying to be patient when all he wants is more now and the single mother afraid of history repeating itself. The only thing I would have like more of is info of Colt’s background history. We got some inside look at some of his past about his father but felt I got a little more info about him from the 2nd book, Finding Gavin. I also would have like to know more of Claire, the one he was once with. A recommended read that will have you believing again that happiness can happen if you let yourself take the risks.
