Sarah Travers has had a really bad month. First, a drunken night of sex with her best friend – and the secret love of her life – Cameron Scott resulted in him freaking out on her and going MIA. That would have been bad enough but then her boss, a high-powered Hollywood director, cast Cameron as the lead in his new movie and put Sarah in charge of his publicity. On the bright side, it turns out she’s rather good at it – much to the chagrin of the studio’s PR team. Cameron’s back in the picture and he’s made some surprising confessions of his own, taking their relationship from the friend zone to so much more.
Now Sarah and Cameron are forced to deal with how their love for one another impacts their circle of friends and what it means for his career. With pressure from the studio to keep their relationship a secret, the two must figure out how to navigate not only the stresses of any new relationship, but also one under such a strong spotlight.
Our Little Secret, a 23,000-word novella, is installment two in the Her Confessional series.

In the second installment of the series we continue to see more of the aftermath from the confessions between Sarah Travers (the happy-go lucky plus size woman) and Cameron Scott’s (who was cast a lead in a new movie role) true feelings for one another come to fruition after that one drunken night a month ago. With all bad things leads to good and they are finally at a place where they can be open and be free with one another. Besides close friends who approve and have seen their growing feelings first hand and congratulating them on finally getting together…the public eye and some friends who felt Cameron can get someone better is a different story. Needless to say the relationship will not be an easy feat for these two.
In the meantime in the 2nd book we get the bubble that Sarah and Cameron are in and it was one that will have you feeling all warm and fuzzy. The way they were with each other after their admission was sooooo sweet and eye opening and I am starting to feel the connection that they have for one another.
With this series things are faced paced and although things are moving right along in this quick read I am still not fully there yet with their relationship. I am looking forward to seeing the challenges they will encounter and have to face keeping their love a secret. This is how Hollywood works after all.

This book is the second installment to Her Confessional and it’s still told in the point of view of Sarah. I am honestly in such an in between state about this book right now. I love how the story is rolling fast, but I’m having such a hard time connecting with what’s going on, compared to the first book. For some weird reason, the intimately sexy scenes should be keeping me engrossed in them, but I felt rather detached from them—and I find that really odd. But that may be just me, so don’t judge. Don’t get me wrong, I still do admire both Cameron and Sarah too.
I’m so glad with how Cameron and Sarah’s relationship progressed and turned out. They are, after all, perfect for one another. And I am definitely rooting for them both—for their relationship. Although, I truly hate how criticisms about Sarah’s relationship with Cameron is putting cracks on her strong persona. Sarah is such a bubbly, confident girl, but with where she’s at at the moment, she’s not so sure anymore. I hate how she’s starting to doubt herself and feel uncertain about how she is. I know how much Cameron’s career means for them both, but I’m just sad with how much it’s affecting Sarah and their relationship with one another. I admire Cameron’s urge to fight for Sarah, though. He’s so possessive when it comes to her and it’s just adorable. The way he clearly worships the ground she walks on—it was so wonderful. I loved how he never wanted to let go of her. The small meaningful gestures he sends Sarah’s way—ah, they’re just too sweet to miss out on. But with his chosen career, nothing always comes easy. And he’ll have to come to terms with how he must be perceived by the people now that he’s such a big movie star. Once he appears on that big screen, they both know nothing will ever be the same anymore. Both their lives will change drastically, and there are so much more hurdles and challenges that the both of them must overcome. This is just the beginning.
Now I’m left wondering how their relationship could actually survive after all this is said and done. How Sarah can actually stomach seeing her man get ravished by other women even though it’s just for work. She has some strong willpower and that’s something I’m looking forward to seeing more in the next installment of the series.
