I’ve loved once. I gave everything that I had to that love. Blindly believing that nothing could ever take that feeling away from me. Away from us. And when my little world of happiness was ripped from my fingers, I felt a loss that still haunts me to this day.
Now I use that lingering grief as a shield to keep my heart from loving again. It’s that fear that keeps me from letting anyone, except my daughter, get close enough to make it hurt. To make my heart bleed when I inevitably lose again.
Until the day I met Liam Beckett and everything I thought I had protected myself from was shoved back in my face.
He’s on a mission to prove to me that a love worth having is a love worth fighting for.
*Bleeding Love is the second book in the Hope Town series. It will follow Liam and Megan. Each book in the series is a HEA and can be read as a standalone.*

Is there anybody more gloriously magnificent than Liam Beckett? My God, the man is above and beyond this world!!! I don’t even know where to begin in describing how amazing this hunk of a man is. Yes, he is indeed gorgeous with that knee-melting smile and that dimple (yes, I’m a sucker for those two), but he’s way more than that. He has a pure heart of gold. Liam’s feelings and love for Megan was more than enough. It was overflowing and overwhelming in the best way.
His unwavering patience for her and the progress in their relationship is over the top awe inspiring. He’s found his future and there is not a chance in hell he’s stopping at anything to get his girls. He has waited for forever for her to come around and see what they both share and have—to accept that they are indeed perfect for one another. That he is the one Megan needs in her life now.
And it’s not only Megan for him, it’s Molly too. My heart is so full with how much this man loves and adores Molly. It can’t get any more perfect than that. And I’m so happy that Liam is the one who helped out Megan and not some other dude. He’s just the missing puzzle for her. Every single thing he did for her will melt
your heart and have you fall a little more in love with the man. The way he tried his best to banish all her fears and make her feel alive again—it killed me in the best way possible. His persistence in pursuing her and breaking down her walls until she finally lets him in never failed to squeeze my heart. It made me yearn to find someone exactly like Liam Beckett.
With Megan, I adore her strength. I can’t imagine how she’s been living with everything she’s went through. Yes, she’s been a shell of a girl until she met Liam, but still. The agony she experienced is more than any person can endure. I’m just so happy she has Molly, her sweet little girl, and the rest of her friends. And again, I can’t be any happier that she found her new life with Liam. There can’t be another man more perfect for her than him. And he’s more than proved his point—several times. I soaked up the mysteries getting into the story. I swear, there was one point near the beginning where I kept questioning myself if I understood the statement correctly. I was so lost but then, boom! Bombs started getting dropped everywhere. It was unbelievable. Just when I thought the story can’t get any better, it freaking does!
I suck so bad because this is my first Harper Sloan book, but holy hell it did not disappoint! I love it. I love every single thing in this book. I also want to point out how much I laughed so many times while reading this. Harper’s humor is the best—I went from giggling to outright bursting with laughter, it was insane. When I wasn’t swooning over Liam or feeling Megan’s pain, I was clutching my side laughing so damn hard. I always love a book that has the right amount of humor at some point—and this book definitely did have that.
Bleeding Love is the perfect mesh of love, agony, hope, humor, and everything in between with just about the right amount of twists and turns that will leave you turning the pages all the more frantically. I haven’t had the chance to read the Corps Security series yet or even the book before this—Unexpected Fate—but I will really have to double time on getting to them now. This book is a standalone, but I’m guessing you’ll enjoy it all the more when you’ve read those other books before this one.
Harper lives in small town Georgia just a short drive from her hometown of Peachtree City. She (and her 3 daughters) enjoy ruling the house they dubbed ‘Estrogen Ocean’, much to her husband’s chagrin. Harper has a borderline unhealthy obsession with books; you can almost ALWAYS find her with her eReader attached. She enjoys bad reality TV and cheesy romantic flicks. Her favorite kind of hero–the super alpha kind!
Harper started using writing as a way to unwind when the house went to sleep at night; and with a house full of crazy it was the perfect way to just relax. It didn’t take long before a head full of very demanding alphas would stop at nothing to have their story told.
