Bad Romeo (Starcrossed, #1)Bad Romeo (Starcrossed #1) by Leisa Rayven
My rating: ★★★✩ 3.5 of 5 stars

Undeniable sparks between Cassie Taylor and Ethan Holt when they first meet in acting school. She was the people pleasing, good girl actress and he was the hot bad boy actor around campus. Chosen to play the lead role in Romeo and Juliet makes for an interesting chemistry on and off the stage.

The first book gives us an inside look of the couple’s past and present encounters and reactions to each other whenever they are in the same room and/or when they are apart from reach other. Showing a visual overview on their interactions with one another when they are pick to play lead roles opposite of each other in school and again during their acting career.

“You know, a wise man once said, ‘Love cannot be found where it does not exist, nor can it be hidden where it truly does.’”

Cassie and Ethan’s drama had moments when it hooked me into their world and moments where it dragged on. Sexual tension was a given but because of the hesitation on “Romeo” part afraid to be with someone more just made the story much more frustrating (but what love story is ever easy?). The jaw dropper for me was when I found out when he left! After everything….WTF?!? Are you serious?!? It is no wonder “Juliet” is not sure whether to give him another chance after all the things she did to show how much she was into him. And of course, just when I get more engrossed into the story it left us with a cliffhanger! This 3.5 stars book will either leave you loving the couple with all their baggage or hate them from all angst and because of that makes this read one to check out! 🙂
